We wanted to do a walking tour of Bari and have some street food as well. This is the perfect tour. You see the main attractions in the old town with some excellent street food. Anna was a fantastic guide who gave us restaurant recommendations and helped us with ideas for our stay in Puglia. She also recommended the UNESCO tour of Matera and Alberobello which was fantastic.
Our tour guide, Alissa (sp?) was excellent! She spoke excellent English, was very knowledgeable, managed to answer all questions posed to her and did so in a very clear and fully explanatory way. We would rate her 5 stars and believe that she is a great brand ambassador for Velo.
Our issue is with the company. They combined an English speaking and Italian speaking group together. The issue is that each group had to wait till she was finished talking to the other group until they could hear what was being explained. This was very inefficient as well as frustrating for both groups. Our tour guide was thrust into this difficult position by Velo and she did the best that she could under the circumstances.
Vincenzo was awesome! He has a great personality. He was genuinely funny and personable. Some guides try too hard and it shows but I could tell that he is a people person and loves what he does.
Thank you for a great experience!!
Wonderful tour with Federica!! She was knowledgeable, funny, and knew her way through crowded streets like Daniel Riccardo. Her love for food and for Bari was infectious, and we had a really great time. The amount of food is substantial - definitely do not need dinner. Would absolutely recommend to anyone visiting. Great way to see some of the sights of the old town, too.
Vincenzo, our guide, was very nice and professional. He answered all our questions, we learnt a lot and enjoyed the tour very much.
On top of that, Giulia, from the office, even drove us in the tuk-tuk to a taxi stop, as my friend had had a little accident and couldn't walk well.
